Worlds & Locations
Worlds
A Campaign can have multiple Worlds — a continent, a plane of existence, a city, a dungeon complex. Worlds are spatial canvases where you place and connect Locations.
Creating a World:
- From inside a campaign, click New World in the sidebar
- Give it a name and click Create
- The World canvas opens — blank by default
Adding a background map:
- Click Upload Map to upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image as the canvas background
- Click Generate Map to describe your world in a text prompt and generate a map image via AI
Locations
Locations are places within a World — cities, dungeons, forests, temples. Place them on the canvas and connect them with travel routes.
Adding a Location:
- Click Add Location on the World canvas
- A new card appears — click it to rename it
- Drag it to the position on the canvas where it belongs
Connecting Locations:
- Hover over a Location card to reveal its handles
- Drag from a handle to another Location card to create a travel route
- Click the route to add a label (e.g. "5 days by road")
Drilling in:
- Double-click a Location card to enter it and see its Areas canvas
Areas
Areas are spaces within a Location — rooms, clearings, districts, ship decks. They work the same as Locations: place them on the canvas, name them, and double-click to enter.
Double-clicking an Area opens its battle map.
